I have been dreaming of setting up a baby's nursery for as long as I can remember. This is such a fun sentiment and I am excited to get started!
Currently, my husband and I live in a 2 bedroom, 3 story condo. We've been in Florida just a year now and we love it. The sunshine, the beach, the views; it's hard to beat. With that being said, it's time to turn our guest space into our baby's dream nursery!
I decied against a specific theme for the nursery because I wanted to keep things simple and clean looking for the baby!
I wanted to start with a white clean look for the crib. This is called the Essex 4-in-1 Convertible Baby Crib. The reaon that I went with this one was because it will grow with the baby! Easier on the money down the long road, right? You can move the mattress up and down to the height of your baby and then when baby outgrows the crib, it converts to a toddler bed, daybed, or a sofa!
This bedside bag/pocket organizer was the cutest addition to the crib. That way we can put our night time bedtime stories, a stuffed animal, or blanket in the bag to make sure crib is free of things especially as baby is still young!
Since I knew that I was pregnant, I've been calling my baby girl my "Little Bird." I wanted to include some cute little birds for the nursery because it has sentiment to me. Along with these little birds, I wanted to display the lyrcis to "Little Bird" that I have dedicated to her throughout this pregnancy!
I wanted a side table for when I am in the rocker with baby either feeding or putting to sleep. This is a simple one. I didn't need anything fancy, but just wanted something practical. During feedings, I can put my books on the bottom shelf, have my water on the table and any snacks, if needed. I want to be pratical with my nursery set up and make sure I have things that I will use daily!
This is a timer night light that I will have on the table, as well. It is dimmable, has a timer, and cordless!
This simple white dresser will go in the nursery. I want to change out the straight handles for some wooden knobs! I'm thinking of getting them at hobby lobby or a thrift shop! That'll come later! On top of the dresser is where I'll be changing her mostly. But, I've also heard that you'll just be changing them when and where you can.
Cute mirror to go above the dresser!
Glider nursery chair. This is a definite must for the nursery for me. I want this room to feel homey for both baby and me as we will both be spending lots of quality time in there together. I also want it to be a sweet space for Dad to come enjoy, as well. That is the main reason I didn't want to go overboard with the girlish designs.
